Lifehouse - Shepherd's Bush Empire, 3/10/15

After touring Amsterdam, Germany and going on to tour the Philippines and Australia, Lifehouse ended the European leg of their tour with a second date at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire due to popular demand from the fans, showing that with a new record and over a decade of touring round the world that they can still pull off a show to remember.
Firstly though, Dublin-based support band Raglans took to the stage. During their 7 song set they performed "True North" for the first time live which was a real treat, as it was a highlight of their set.

The audience took to the band well and I'm not surprised, whilst changing guitars between songs they introduced themselves, saying that "touring with Lifehouse has been so much fun and they're such nice guys" before adding "we're back in London next week if you want to see us again", referring to their first headlining UK tour - tickets for which are on sale now. Some people come to gigs after the support act just to see the headline which is a real shame as a band like Raglans could be their new favourite band and they've missed them - either way, they've gained a new fan.

After a short break, the lights dimmed again and Lifehouse took the stage to cheers and lots of excitement from both women and men of all ages, who've come to enjoy all of their songs, whether they've been a fan from 1999 or 2015.

They started with lead single 'Hurricane' from the new record Out Of The Wasteland and it was a great start to the show. Across their nearly two and a half hour set the trio perfomed a range of new and old music, with the highlight being when they played their 2005 hit 'You And Me', as they broke out the disco ball and the entire crowd had their hands up and iPhone torches in the air, with everyone singing along to every one of the words in the song.

Whether you are a Lifehouse fan or not, this concert was definitely a good one to attend, as they haven't lost any of their creative edge after so much time touring.
