Help Organise Your Life: CEO of My Life Planner

Organisation and distractions can be tough, but is doable and especially useful, if you own your own business or are a student like me with lots of tough deadlines and having to multi-task all the time. But along comes the CEO of My Life Planner, a multi-column life affirming planner that's perfect for all occasions and tasks.

As seen above, there's pages for your Future and Master Goals, which you can fill in in your own special way. There's also individual pages for each day in the calendar, which can be used to your own style, free to make notes and calendar events to your heart's content.

Quotes to help you along with your day and give you that #mondaymotivation is definitely a reason to buy this planner, as they belong on Instagram ☺️ It's definitely going to be hard to resist taking photos of every page.

In terms of actually scheduling with the planner, I use it to schedule my day in 2 hour intervals, moving on to a different task at the end of each 2 hour stint. It's completely up to you to organise it how you wish.

With a finances section at the back of each monthly section, you can record your 'in' and 'out' spending habits, so can keep up with your expenses and cut out things you don't need to save some money. It's definitely helping me to save and realise what I'm wasting my money on.

CEO Of My Own Life Planner is one to buy if you want to organise your life in a freestyle way and having complete control over your plans.

Buy the planner in three different designs at Ella Iconic or Not On The High Street. 'Like' my Facebook page to keep up with what I'm up to and my blog posts.

Amber Run - For A Moment, I Was Lost (2017)

Amber Run's profile has certainly been raised since their debut 5AM in 2015. Their duo of music videos with the same story and characters associated with songs 'I Found' and 'Pilot' brought their music to a lot of people's ears. Now For A Moment, I Was Lost is showcasing their talent once again.

As a first-time listener of Amber Run with 5AM, it certainly made you feel a lot of emotions whilst listening to it, like watching one of those pet charity videos - it makes you cry and smile at the same time. For A Moment, I Was Lost heightens these emotions and yet doesn't make you feel as drained after feeling every note.

It seems Amber Run have found their way out of the dark, especially with 'Stranger', as the opening piano chords are like a stab through the heart but evolves into more of a Rock/Pop number but with the same amount of truth as those on 5AM. 'Perfect' certainly has more of a Rock anthem feel to it, but overrides this with the amount of solemn in the verses, complemented by lead singer Joe Keogh's powerful but calm voice, making every song recognisable and trademark Amber Run.

Overall it's fairly sombre but will have a great connection with its listeners and at least one song will tug at your heartstrings, tying up memories in a tight box whilst belting out the chorus before the high volume crescendo with 'Wastelands' to end the record leaving everyone wanting more.

You can purchase/stream For A Moment, I Was Lost on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon (UK* | US) or their official website. Follow Amber Run on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to see what they're up to and don't forget to like my Facebook page if you want to see more posts from me.

GRAMMYs Party Planning!

The 59th GRAMMY Awards are fast approaching, with star-studded performances from artists including The Weeknd and Daft Punk to name a few. To get you in the GRAMMY mood and ready to party, I've got some snack and décor ideas to make your viewing party feel like being at the ceremony itself.

Decor

[Source]
There's lots of ideas as to what you could do to share the glamour with the stars, including rolling out a red carpet for your friends' arrivals and taking some photos of them against a piece of card like the real GRAMMYs. It's a great way to introduce the nights' proceedings and make them feel like a star.

As for the rest of the room, you could hang glitter garlands like the one above from Not On The High Street, or make your own from plain and glitter paper - a great DIY idea 😊

Snacks

[Source]
There's a classic snack that will go really well with the award ceremony and that's popcorn. Just like a movie, the awards are really long so you need to keep full for keeping up with the amount of awards given out and the great performances. It's also very healthy so those on a diet are able to snack and not feel guilty. View Marcus Butler's video embedded below to see how to make the perfect batch of cinema popcorn. There's also lots of snack ideas over on Tasty's Facebook page.

Printable Ballot Card

The lovely people at SkinnyPop Popcorn have provided me with a Ballot Card to print and use with your friends at your party to keep track of who's won in each category, and add up your scores at the end. For a cool prize, you could make an award or buy a cheap one and give it to the person who had the highest score.

Tune into the 59th Annual GRAMMY awards, airing February 12th at 8pm Pacific Standard Time which is 4am GMT. If you use any of my ideas, do let me know on Twitter or Facebook and enjoy!

Featured Artist - Lorne

A simple song with just piano, lyrics and not much else is a great calming tool probably missing from your library. Lorne is one to change that, especially in the madness that has been 2016. If you like bands like Amber Run, serene and soft, you'll love Lorne.

Unlike Amber Run Lorne is a one-man show, playing his own piano and listening to his music, you'll realise (much like I did) that he's an amazing pianist. His Maze EP contains only a coupe of songs, but that's all you need to fall head over heels for his voice and the way he composes music.

There's a few upbeat songs within the four on the EP, but the slow quiet piece 'Bread Alone' really stands out. You know when you're staring out of a train window thinking about the world wishing there was a song from a movie playing in the background? Play Bread Alone next time you do that and you'll be surprised how much it would fit into that exact scene in a movie - or it seriously belongs on one of those really sentimental montages. Hollywood? Put this song on a soundtrack, you won't regret it.

The song recently premiered on nialler9, so click HERE to have a listen.

Follow Lorne on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to see what he's up to. Follow me on Facebook to see my posts as soon as they're published.
